Review of the Uncharted collection: Legacy of Thieves: Treasure not so buried

Charted: The legacy of the thieves is a set of two video games launched previously, 2016 uncharted 4: The outcome of the Thief and 2017 chart: the lost legacy, remastered for PlayStation 5 and PC. And that is exactly what it is. That's it. Both titles have improved the images, the speed of frames and take advantage of the functions of PS5, such as the haptic feedback of the Danseuse wireless controller and adaptive activators, but if you are looking for something more than that, you are likely to feel disappointed. However, taken at the bottom of the letter, it is difficult to find the work that Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment have done here as something more than impressive.

While the combination of the two titles may seem strange at the beginning for some people who are not familiar with the franchise, there are many reasons to include them both together. First, neither of the two was part of the previous launch. Chart: The Nathan Drake collection, which came out before the launch of any1. Secondly, chart: the lost legacy was at a point at least potentially considered as DLC for chart 4: the outcome of the thief before the scope and the amplitude flourished in a kind of independent expansion. Third, both were launched in PlayStation 4.

Uncharted:

That said, chart 4: the outcome of the thief and chart: the lost legacy is true that there are two very different video games with the same central game loop and presumption. In the first, the treasure hunter withdrawn and a long-standing protagonist Nathan Drake helps his brother, Sam, to look for the legendary treasure of the Henry Avery pirate as he deepened the mysteries behind him, while the second sees the character Favorite secondary of fans, Chloe Fraser, taking the steering wheel with the help of former mercenary (and antagonist) Nadine Ross to find the Golden Ganesh fang. In its most basic premise, each Uncharted video game still sees a treasure hunter hunting treasures in the style of Indiana Jones, but the details change.

And that is the case of both titles in Charted: the legacy of thieves. Nothing about the stories or the game presented for the first time years ago has been updated or changed significantly, and it would be fairly easy to argue that the remasters are simply a new layer of paint. But the Uncharted series has the advantage that its individual layers of paint are really significant, and each delivery has been praised by the quality of its graphics and art direction. Updating basically only your graphics may not seem significant, but given that it has been one of the most fundamental pillars of its general design, it has a great impact.

And while both chart 4: The outcome of the thief and chart: the lost legacy. They have certainly aged, are the graphics that have done it more, obviously. Carry all the weight of the graphic capabilities of the PS5 to two different video games of Uncharted makes it clear that, although players may have seen a beautiful view presented inside chart 4: the misunderstanding in 2016, it is still something different to see that Very beautiful view within a remastered version in PS5. If before these games pushed the envelope in terms of graphics, now there is a much bigger about pushing. And hopefully, the PC version manages to boost things even more.

If you played, and you enjoyed chart 4: The outcome of the thief or chart: the legacy lost years because you enjoy the feeling of climbing wild structures and unearthed treasures, the good news is that everything is still here in COLLECTED: The legacy of the thieves. If you played those two video games before because the series is known for its dazzling locations and exotic places, none was better than in the new PS5 remasters. If you want something completely new, well, this is not that, but it does not pretend to be it either. And sometimes that is more than enough.

Rating: 4.5 of 5
