Tennis: Medvedev falls off with inguinal break for one to two months
The race for number one of the tennis world ranking is more open than ever: the Russian Daniil Medvedev, currently the number two behind Novak Djokovic, must take a break because of a groin break. "In recent months, I played with a hernia," wrote Medvedev at Twitter: "Together with my team, I decided to fix the problem by a small procedure." He is expected to pause "one to two months" and work hard to return to the court "as soon as possible". Whether Medvedev will fit up to French Open (22 May to 5 June) is at least questionable.
